ALL SAINTS' free MOVIES ON THE LAWN
Movie Nights on the Lawn is a community outreach event of All Saints' that started up in 2009 and was initially made possible with foundational grants. Movies are shown on a large inflatable 30' screen under the stars during the months of September and October. Each evening features a double-feature line-up with the first movie geared towards families with very young children (often animated) followed by a second show that is usually a block-buster action or drama film geared towards teens and adults.
Movie Nights are free to the community. The Ke Akua Youth Group runs the concession stand and the Church underwrites the startup cost of the food and drinks. The goal is to keep prices low, enabling families to enjoy a night out with movies and dinner for a fraction of the cost that a regular theater would charge. Concession items include the always popular "Dollar Dogs" and 50 cent popcorn!
Funds raised from the concessions goes towards the youth group's outreach activities, mission work, and participation in the Episcopal Youth Event (EYE).
Please keep an eye out for the next viewing!
