PASTORAL CARE

The ministry of caring is at the heart of the church's life. It may include hospital visitation, counseling, and ministries of shared presence, listening, and support. Pastoral care can also refer to parish ministries of clergy and laity who respond to human need.

ALL SAINTS' EMERGENCY PASTORAL CARE LINE: (650) 691-8104
Please leave a detailed message with phone number(s).  Speak slowly and repeat the phone number(s).  A member of the clergy or pastoral care committee will call you back within the hour.

Why is the number 605 area code? All saints' is utilizing the "Google Voice" technology to administer the pastoral care line.

In order to ensure that your need gets a timely response, it is important not to call the office. The new pastoral emergency system utilizes the entire committee, not just our clergy, to make sure we respond as quickly as possible even in the rare instance that a member of the clergy is not available. If you prefer, you may send an electronic pastoral care request via email to pastoralcare@allsaintskauai.org.

PRAYER CHAIN
Prayers, both petitions and thanksgivings, are offered daily by members of our Prayer Chain and in the Prayers of the People in Sunday worship, based on requests. Prayers may be requested for specific individuals in the church, their families, co-workers, friends and neighbors. Requests may be made on behalf of the larger community, the nation, or the world. Whatever burdens or joys are on one’s heart are burdens and joys the Prayer Chain will share with you in prayer. This is the promise of the Prayer Chain team. To learn more about the Prayer Chain team and/or to join, click on the button below.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE
As a congregation each Sunday, we pray for those in need by name during the Prayers of the People. Names can be added to the Prayers of the People petitions by utilizing the Prayer Chain Request or by contacting the Church Office at (808) 822-4267. Names will remain in the Prayers of the People for a maximum of two Sundays before a name must be resubmitted. Public petitions can always be offered during the appropriate time during the Prayers of the People when we pray for “those we name silently or aloud.”

TRANSPORTATION MINISTRY
In the near future, the Pastoral Care Ministries of All Saints’ would like to establish a ministry offering transportation to services and events for our ‘Ohana who cannot drive or cannot drive at night. If you would be interested in volunteering for this future ministry, please email pastoralcare@allsaintskauai.org or call the Church Office at (808) 822-4267.

The Pastoral Care Committee

Due to the level of confidentiality necessary to perform this ministry, members of the Pastoral Care Committee consists of a hand-selected group of lay leaders and the priest. They receive the online prayer requests, pass on pertinent information to the Prayer Chain, and follow up with any necessary logistical or priestly requests made by the family.  If you have a special need or concern, email the committee at: pastoralcare@allsaintskauai.org.
