Janis Wright and Nora Takenouchi are looking for a few volunteers to help maintain the King Kamehameha IV and Queen Emma Peace Garden which is located just inside the south (Lihue side) entrance to the church campus. The garden was dedicated to King Kamehameha IV and Queen Emma as part of our annual celebration of the Holy Sovereigns in 2013. Janis and Nora have taken on the task of organizing and tidying up the garden in preparation for the next Holy Sovereigns service on Sunday, October 9th. They will be working on the garden from 8:00AM until 11:00AM the next three Mondays (9/19, 9/26 & 10/3). Looking to the future, the plan is to maintain the garden with a regularly scheduled "garden day" once per month. If you would like to help with this project please talk with either Janis or Nora. A green thumb is not required! Mahalo nui loa to Janis and Nora for taking the lead on this important project. Comments are closed.
